Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data G ACADEMY collects, why, and how you can control it. We follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

1. Who we are

G ACADEMY (Gametize Academy) is run by Gametize Pte. Ltd., 21 Woodlands Close, Primz Bizhub #08-34, Singapore 737854. Questions about your data: academy@gametize.com.

2. What we collect

• When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo.
• Your learning: the steps you pass, your points, level, certificates and quiz results.
• Reflections: the short answers you write in reflection questions. These are saved to your account.
• Waitlists and newsletter: your email and which classes you asked about.
• Class reviews: if you review a class you finished, your star rating, your review and your initials are shown publicly on the class page.
• Socialico sign-ups: your name, email, whether you want to be a founding member, and anything you tell us you’d like from the community.
• Organization enquiries (“Talk to us”): your name, work email, company, group size, what you need and your message.

The “Ask G ACADEMY” assistant: questions you type into our AI assistant are sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) to write an answer. To improve the assistant and our classes, we save your questions and its answers for up to 90 days. If you are signed in, they are saved with your name and email. If you are not signed in, they are saved without your name, email or internet address, unless you choose to leave your name and email in the chat so our team can follow up. Your browser also remembers the conversation on your own device for up to 30 days, so you can continue where you left off; tap “New chat” to clear it. To stop misuse, we count questions per visitor each day using a scrambled code made from your internet address, never the address itself. Please don’t type personal details into the assistant.

What we don’t keep: answers you paste from an AI assistant during a class task are only checked on your screen. They are never sent to us or saved.

3. Why we use it

• To run your account, save your progress and issue your certificates.
• To email you about classes you asked about, and the newsletter if you signed up.
• To reply to organization enquiries.
• To improve our classes. For example, the G ACADEMY team reads reflections to see which tasks people find most useful.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

4. Who can see it

• Only you can see your own progress and reflections in your account. A small G ACADEMY team (signed in with Google and on our admin list) can see learner data to run the service.
• We use trusted service providers to run the website: Supabase (our database), Cloudflare (website hosting), Google (sign-in and fonts) and Anthropic (the AI behind our website assistant). Your data may be stored on their servers outside Singapore, with protection similar to the PDPA.
• If you choose “Add to LinkedIn”, your certificate details are sent to LinkedIn.
• We may share data if the law requires it.

5. Cookies and your browser

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. To keep you signed in and remember things like your 7-day plan ticks, we save small items in your browser’s storage. Signing out removes your sign-in.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is active. Waitlist, newsletter and organization enquiry details are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except anything we must keep by law.

7. Your choices and rights

• See what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
• Withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your account and data.

8. Keeping it safe

Your data is protected with secure connections (HTTPS) and database rules, so each learner can only see their own data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

9. Children

G ACADEMY is for people aged 13 and over. If you think a child under 13 has signed up, please contact us and we will delete the account.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. If the changes are important, we will tell you on the website.
